Computer Graphics

Manipulate photos using Photoshop, create illustrations using Illustrator, and access the powerful layout tools in InDesign.

Graphic Design I

Define graphic design, learn about visual problem solving, typography, and the creative process, and how to stretch creativity to the limit.

Graphic Design II

Organize research procedures to solve graphic design problems. Create concepts to enhance a message, while focusing on typography, symbolism, language and text. Analyze and develop ideas, and learn to work while following specifications and deadlines. Students will make presentations of their work and help each other to refine their concepts.

Graphic Design III

Creation and assembly of portfolios, how make a professional and creative presentation to
employers, dealing with clients, and professional design practices.

Preparation for Print

Prepare work for printing, including the printing process, file formats, color modes, and other technicalities necessary while outputting files for print.

Web Design

The theory, methods, and practices behind developing a web site. Create a simple website using XML/HTML, and the basics of CSS.

Dreamweaver/CSS

Use Dreamweaver and CSS to create more complex websites. Use Javascript (on a simple level) to add interactivity to websites.

Flash

Use Flash to add interactivity to websites, and create dynamic web pages, movies and banner ads.

Photography

Technical aspects of photography, as well as how to use photography as a creative tool and for documentary photography. Learn about lighting, composition, creativity, digital imaging, experimentation, and problem solving.
